Kenyan reggae outfit Black Supremacy who were in Harare for a line-up of gigs to celebrate the Red Fox Family fourth anniversary hailed Red Fox for promoting reggae music in Zimbabwe.
The group which has frequently toured the country over the years says Red Fox Entertainment is among the top African promoters. The group’s chanter MC Fullstop said “We have been here many times and all the time Robert (Zhuwao) is always pushing for the growth of reggae while helping artists build their careers.”
He said the growth of reggae music is important in building society. “Reggae music is of paramount importance in spreading the message of peace, love and unity and most of all to keep people dancing and merry,” said MC Fullstop.
He said the Red Fox anniversary is a worthy celebration to all reggae music lovers. “If you love reggae, Red Fox has always given you the best of it so when we celebrate this anniversary we celebrate it with much love and appreciation for what they have done for us,” said MC Fullstop.
Meanwhile, the Red Fox Family fourth anniversary saw a four day party weekend with shows at Red Fox Hotel, Londoners Sports Bar, and King Solomon’s Night Club in Kwekwe. They also officially opened their first club in the ghetto at Specimen shopping center in Glen Norah. The club, Red Fox Je Taime will host open mic sessions as a way of grooming young talent.
Red Fox Family is an internationally acclaimed promotion company. They boast the bringing in of various international reggae stars including Red Rat and Mr Easy. Their flagship hotel has hosted welcome parties to most international reggae musicians touring the country. Recently, Red Fox established an art school to cater for young creative individuals.
