For Christmas we are very happy to be bringing you our sixth issue – making it half a year since we began. It’s been a tough six months, we did launch in the same month as the elections after all. But things are beginning to pick up. You’ll see a great range of adverts appearing in our pages this month – be sure to check them out and feel free to get in touch and book some space for your own business in 2014. And of course, feedback from you, our readers, makes everything worthwhile.
Online our readership is growing steadily, and in the social media, we’re getting close to 2,000 likes on Facebook and have almost 300 followers on Twitter. This means that all of the stories that we are publishing are being read and shared around the globe. If you aren’t already connecting with us online, please start here!
In the December issue, we bring you six great places to visit in or around Harare, meaning you don’t have to spend much time or your hard earned cash to get to them. Which, in turn, means that you can use the money you save to donate to some pretty good causes – our community offer a good options that would love to get even small donations to help them along in these hard times.
With the media diversity programme that’s been running throughout November and until 10 December, it’s been exciting times for us. We had a stall at the fair in Harare Gardens on the 16th, a really great opportunity for us to meet some of you. We’ll be taking note of the ideas you put up on our map of Harare, so watch out for these stories in 2014.
Also take heed of our rather brilliant competition. We’ve teamed up with the Meikles Hotel to offer one lucky entrant a couple of nights in their super duper Park suite. It being Valentines, all you have to do is send in a picture that reflects the theme of love…so get snapping.
