September’s issue is on the streets. It’s our third issue and we feel like we’re settling into a groove. We hope you’re enjoying the paper too. As always, we would love to hear your feedback. Feel free to get in touch on the email, give us a call, or, for this month only, fill in our survey here… you might even win yourself a weekend in the mountains. We’d love to hear what you want to be reading.
In the September issue, it’s all about spring – spring-cleaning, spring planting… And don’t forget to look up too – the msasas are truly in their spring splendour. If you’ve got time, make your way to Mukuvisi Woodlands on the last Sunday of the month and do the walk there. Three, five or eight kilometres, it’s a great time of year to head to the woods.
September seems to be a bit of a campaign month. We’ll be bringing you stories from World Alzheimer’s Month and also a message from Miracle Missions about the Clean Up the World campaign, with a focus on the 20 and 21 September. Miracle Missions has put together a great page of information in the paper on how you can get involved so that Harare is included in this global initiative. We’ll be posting that soon. Harare News will certainly be rolling up our sleeves too.
It’s been a month since the election and many of our streets are still pasted with campaign posters. We hope everyone will use the Clean Up month to help get our city cleaned up – if you have posters outside your own gate, on the walls, culverts, lamp posts… why not get out there with a bucket of warm soapy water and get scrubbing.
As we went to press, we had phone calls from readers concerned about the churning up of the Highlands Vlei by developers. This is despite the good news we shared with you last month, where the Ministry of the Environment confirmed that permission had not been granted to develop the vlei. It was ordered that the land be returned to its original condition. Well, it looks like this wetland is still under threat. Details of what is going on are still emerging. We’ll be bringing the issue online over the coming months, so we hope you’ll join in the discussion.

Deference to op, some good selective information.
This web site is really a walk-through for all of the info you wanted about this and didn’t know who to ask. Glimpse here, and you’ll definitely discover it.
My wife and i were very thankful when Albert could carry out his research from your precious recommendations he discovered through the web page. It is now and again perplexing to simply find yourself freely giving hints that many many people might have been trying to sell. Therefore we keep in mind we’ve got the writer to give thanks to for that. The most important explanations you have made, the easy site navigation, the friendships you can make it easier to promote – it’s got all exceptional, and it’s really letting our son in addition to the family know that the topic is interesting, which is certainly wonderfully mandatory. Thanks for everything!
I’ve recently started a blog, the information you provide on this web site has helped me greatly. Thanks for all of your time & work. “Show me the man who keeps his house in hand, He’s fit for public authority.” by Sophocles.
