Two-time South African Musician of the Year award winner and platinum album singer and songwriter Elvis Blue will be making a debut performance in Harare on Friday 27 September.
Supporting acts sharing the stage with Jan Hoogendyk a.k.a Elvis Blue include local artists 8 Count Dance Company and the popular band Rusike Brothers.
Elvis Blue earned his fame after scooping the first SA Idols’ in 2010. He later released a platinum-selling debut album entitled Journey.
Suzanne Robinson, who is part of the organising team, revealed that Blue will be performing only one concert in Harare.
“We’ve organised an awesome family evening of music and entertainment. Funds raised will go towards the extension of the school hall, as well as supporting the Zambezi Society’s rhino breeding project in Matusadona,” she said, adding, “the evening will offer something for everyone, from young children to teenagers to adults.”
The function will be managed by a team of volunteers to guarantee everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
Elvis Blue has performed over 300 shows across South Africa, most recently supporting Bon Jovi in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The concert will be held at Chisipite Primary School at 6.30pm.
