Old Georgians Sports Club massacred the Matebeleland Warriors in a Lion Lager National Rugby League match played at Harare Sports Club Saturday afternoon.
The match saw a spirited performance by the host Old Georgians resulting in a 34-17 lead after the first 45 minutes.
Mat Warriors however fought back in the dying minutes of the half, sneaking in a couple of tries. When they came back from halftime Mat Warriors continued to push hard resulting in two more tries before Old Georgians sealed their back line.
The host then came on heavy with a speedy accurate passing game exploring Mat Warriors weak right side resulting in a 61-27 victory.
Old Georgians Coach Grant Mitchell says: “We are not proud of the fact that they scored four tries against us. We will assess whether it was individual or team mistake and make changes where necessary.”
In another match played at the same venue Old Hararians (OH) emerged victors in the Harare derby against Harare Sports Club (HSC).
The Old Boys who at one stage were trailing narrowly, made the most of the second half opportunities to force a 31-20 victory.
They got their points through a brace of tries from Patrick Tenesi with inclusion of tries from full back Tangai Nemadire and centre Lungile Tshuma while skipper Tichafara Makwanya added two penalties and two conversions.
HSC fly half Teddy “Boxer” Hwata was the leading light for the home side but his efforts were all in vain after scoring two brilliant tries, two conversions and two penalties.
The hosts had started the match on good note and in the first half they were in control of the ball before losing the steam in the dying minutes of the second half.
Having read this I believed it was very informative. I appreciate you taking the
time and energy to put this informative article together.
I once again find myself spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!
This is the right site for everyone who really wants to understand
this topic. You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you
(not that I personally would want to…HaHa). You certainly put a new spin on a topic that’s been written about for ages.
Wonderful stuff, just wonderful!

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
